Catriona Gray is a freelance journalist and author.
Having studied English literature at Trinity College Dublin and the University of Cambridge, where she co-edited the literary anthology The Mays, she went on to work at Conde Nast, firstly for GQ, then for House & Garden. She subsequently spent a number of years as commissioning editor at the British editions of Harper’s Bazaar and Town & Country, overseeing a number of sections.
She has written two books on the history of interior design: Fifties House and its sequel Sixties House, and two middle-grade novels.
Having started out her career in digital journalism, she is in the position of being able to write both longform print pieces and online stories. She also undertakes occasional copywriting commissions in the luxury sector and writes the monthly editorial content for Conde Nast Property (which appears in Vogue, Tatler, House & Garden and GQ).
She has written for many leading publications, including The Telegraph, Town & Country (US), GQ, The Financial Times, The Guardian, The Walpole Group, and The Irish Times.
